Korea Polar Research Institute (KOPRI)

KOPRI Fellowship Program (Korea Polar Research Institute)

Open to international researchers of all nationalities who are enrolled in a Master's, PhD or postdoctoral research programme and have a background in polar science, environmental studies, climate change, marine biology or a related field. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic and research potential and submit a research proposal aligned with KOPRI's ongoing polar and climate research projects.

Western Union Foundation (with Watson Institute)

Western Union Global Fellowship

Open to emerging leaders and social entrepreneurs who are leading nonprofit or for-profit social-impact ventures, especially those from or working with refugee, displaced, marginalised or underserved communities. Applicants should be able to commit fully to the virtual fellowship duration (around 8-10 hours per week, rising to 10-15 hours in the first two weeks) and have or plan a community placement for their venture. Applicants from a defined list of priority countries are especially encouraged to apply.

National Institute of Genetics (NIG)

NIG Postdoctoral Fellowship (National Institute of Genetics)

Open to researchers of any nationality who hold a PhD (or will obtain it before the start date) and have the research skills to pursue a genetics project. Applicants who were previously enrolled at NIG as postdocs, technical staff or SOKENDAI graduate students are not eligible.

Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech)

Skoltech Graduate Scholarships

Open to international and domestic students for fully funded Master's (MSc) and PhD study at Skoltech in Russia. Master's applicants need a relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution and a strong academic record; PhD applicants need a relevant Master's degree or equivalent and a strong research proposal aligned with Skoltech's objectives. All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 72 or equivalent. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

University of Melbourne (School of Computing and Information Systems)

University of Melbourne CIS PhD Scholarship

Open to domestic and international students of all nationalities. Applicants must hold a Master of Computer Science from the University of Melbourne, apply for the Doctor of Philosophy – Engineering and IT (Computing and Information Systems) programme (DR-PHILEIT), and demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership, and research potential. A research proposal, a personal statement, and a letter of support from the proposed PhD supervisor are required.

University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum)

University of Bologna Study Grants for International Students

Open to international students, including both EU and non-EU citizens, applying to First Cycle (Bachelor), Second Cycle (Master), or Single Cycle degree programmes at the University of Bologna. The study grants are aimed at students enrolling for the first time and are typically targeted at applicants who are 30 years old or younger at the time of application. Candidates apply directly through the University of Bologna online portal; admission requirements vary by programme, and non-native English or Italian speakers must meet the language requirement of the chosen course. Applicants should confirm the exact age limit, test requirements, and documents for their specific programme on the official page.

UN DESA and the Government of Portugal

UN-Portugal Ocean Fellowship

Aimed at senior government officials and decision-makers from developing countries, including Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and Least Developed Countries (LDCs), who hold a senior position in ocean policy or marine governance, such as heads or deputy heads of national ocean agencies or ambassadors. Candidates need a proven track record in ocean governance, a commitment to continued public-sector service, and full English proficiency. Nominations of women and Indigenous candidates are strongly encouraged. Applicants cannot self-nominate; candidates must be put forward by UN Member States.

UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)

UKRI Policy Fellowships

Open to early, mid-career and senior researchers of all nationalities who are affiliated with a UKRI-eligible institution and have expertise in social sciences or related interdisciplinary fields such as environmental science, climate studies, economics and public health.

Prince Sultan University (PSU)

Prince Sultan University Scholarships

Open to both Saudi and international students applying to bachelor's, master's, or PhD programmes at Prince Sultan University in Riyadh. Saudi students need a minimum cumulative GPA of 85 percent; non-Saudi international students need a minimum of 90 percent. Meeting the GPA threshold does not guarantee an award, as scholarships are limited and granted on merit and availability.

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung International Scholarship Programme

For highly qualified international graduates (master's and doctoral) who wish to study in Germany, demonstrate social and political engagement, and (usually) have German language skills. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung selects scholars who share its values and shows interest in their academic and personal development.

Korea Aerospace University (with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Republic of Korea)

ROK-KAU Aviation Policy Fellowship

Open to applicants of all nationalities, with a focus on government officials in civil aviation, transport or infrastructure; policy planners and advisors in aviation; professionals from ICAO member states; and academics or researchers in aerospace law, public policy or transport governance. Priority is given to candidates from developing countries that are ICAO members. This is a non-degree professional fellowship rather than a degree programme.

Yanbian University (Jilin Provincial Government)

Yanbian University Jilin Provincial Government Scholarship

Open to international students of all nationalities except Chinese citizens who hold a bachelor's degree, are under 35 years old at the time of application, and demonstrate Chinese proficiency at the new HSK level 5 or a comparable standard. Applicants must be in good health, submit notarised academic certificates, a study plan of 800 words or more, two recommendation letters, and (for art majors) a portfolio. All documents must be provided in Chinese or English, with notarised translations for any other language.

Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)

AIT Scholarships

Open to applicants of any nationality. Master's applicants need a 4-year Bachelor's degree from a recognised university and an IELTS Academic or AIT EET score of 5.0 or higher. Doctoral applicants need a Master's degree from a recognised institution, a CGPA of at least 3.50 at Master's level (or at least 2.75 from a top-tier Bachelor's), and an IELTS Academic or AIT EET score of 5.5 or higher.

King's College London (with NHS England)

King's College London Internationally Qualified Sonographers Scholarship

Open to internationally trained sonographers recruited via the NHS England Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) route or already working in the UK NHS in a non-obstetrics role. Applicants must hold a clinical placement in the NHS starting around September 2026, with a minimum of 14 hours per week, and meet King's College London's standard academic and English language entry requirements. The award funds the part-time Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) in Clinical Ultrasound.

One Young World (in partnership with IKEA Social Entrepreneurship)

IKEA Social Entrepreneurship Scholarship for the One Young World Summit

Open to founders or co-founders of social enterprises aged 18 to 30 (exceptional candidates over 30 may be considered) who are residents of Chile, Colombia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Romania, or Sweden. Applicants must be fluent in English, must be at least 18 by the time of the summit, and their social business must work in inclusive circularity, inclusive employment, or inclusive agriculture and food systems. Applicants must demonstrate proven leadership, tangible social impact, and commitment to addressing local or global challenges. This is a summit delegate scholarship, not a degree scholarship.

British Council and the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (IASH), University of Edinburgh

British Council 90th Anniversary Research Fellowships

Open to early-career researchers in the humanities and social sciences who completed a PhD within the last seven years (extensions allowed for documented career breaks) and who are citizens of an ODA-recipient country where the British Council operates. Applicants must not hold a permanent academic position or have previously held an IASH Fellowship, and the research proposal must relate to Official Development Assistance policy or practice and include plans for knowledge exchange in the applicant's home country.

University of Aberdeen (with the Cowrie Scholarship Foundation)

University of Aberdeen Cowrie Foundation Scholarship

Open to UK Home or Rest of UK fee-paying students who identify as Black British (Black or Black British Caribbean, Black or Black British African, Mixed White and Black Caribbean, Mixed White and Black African, or Other Black background) and have a total household income of £25,000 or less per year. Applicants must have firmly accepted an offer to study a full-time first undergraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen for the 2026/2027 academic year and must apply for full income-assessed student finance and consent to share the assessment with the university. International and postgraduate students are not eligible.

Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD)

OWSD PhD Fellowships

For women scientists from Sub-Saharan Africa and science- and technology-lagging countries to pursue a PhD in the natural sciences, engineering, and technology at a host institution in the Global South — full-time abroad or as a sandwich programme split with the home country.

Government of Mauritius - Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology

Mauritius Africa Scholarship Scheme

Open to nationals of African Union member states or African Commonwealth countries who have applied for a full-time, on-campus programme (Diploma, Degree, MPhil, or PhD) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius. Undergraduate applicants must be above 18 and below 26 on 1 January of the award year; PhD applicants must be under 40 on 1 January of the award year. Applications must be channelled through the official Nominating Agency in the applicant's country of citizenship.

Murdoch University ARC Linkage PhD Research Scholarships

Open to both domestic and international students of all nationalities who hold an Honours or Master's degree in a relevant field. Topics 1 to 3 (ecology, environmental science, botany) require a background in those areas, while Topic 4 (AI-based ecological monitoring) requires computer science, mathematics, or electrical engineering with strong programming skills. Applicants need strong English communication, the ability to work in a multidisciplinary research team, and relevant research experience; prior publications and AI knowledge are an advantage.

World Movement for Democracy / National Endowment for Democracy (NED)

Hurford Youth Fellowship

Open to young democracy and civil-society activists from any country who are 30 years old or younger, can demonstrate social or democratic activism, and are proficient in English. Affiliation with a civil society organisation is encouraged.

CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research)

CERN Administrative Student Programme

Open to nationals of CERN Member or Associate Member States who have completed at least 18 months of a bachelor's or master's degree in an administrative (non-STEM) field and remain registered as full-time students throughout the placement. Applicants must be available for a stay of 2 to 12 months and be proficient in English or French. Students in STEM or engineering disciplines are not eligible for this administrative programme.
