AWARD Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship 2026 [Cohort 2]

This fellowship targets mid-career African women agricultural scientists with at least a master's degree and a minimum of seven years of experience in agriculture or related fields. Applicants must be nationals and residents of Egypt, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, or Senegal, and be proficient in English or French.

University of Limerick and Teagasc

University of Limerick Teagasc Walsh PhD Scholarship

Open to international and domestic applicants who hold a first or upper second-class honours degree in a relevant discipline and meet the University of Limerick's English language requirements. Applicants should have strong problem-solving and data-analysis skills, a full driving licence, and ideally experience with statistical or modelling software. A master's degree is an advantage but not required.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

MIT Need-Based Aid for International Undergraduates

For international undergraduate applicants to MIT, which is need-blind in admission and meets the full demonstrated financial need of every admitted student. Aid is a grant (no loans in the standard package); the amount is set by each family's assessed need.

MCW Global Young Leaders Fellowship

Open to young people of all nationalities aged 18 to 26 who show a demonstrated commitment to their community in education, health or economic security, are fluent in written and spoken English, have reliable access to email and the internet, and can commit to the full programme - a virtual community needs assessment, a 10-day in-person training in the USA, and a year of project implementation with mentorship.

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation

Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowships (for Postdoctoral and Experienced Researchers)

For researchers from abroad — postdoctoral (normally within 4 years of a PhD) or experienced (within 12 years of a PhD) — to carry out a long-term research stay in Germany with a host of their choice. Selection is on academic record and research potential; applications can be submitted at any time.

Khalifa University of Science and Technology

Khalifa University Graduate Scholarships

For high-achieving local and international students admitted to a master's or doctoral programme at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi. The scholarship covers full tuition plus a monthly stipend and benefits; admission and funding are assessed together, with intakes in autumn and spring.

University of British Columbia

International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) Award

For international students entering their first undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC) who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and financial need. Students must be nominated by their school and require financial support to study at UBC; the award is need-based, covering costs the student and family cannot meet.

NUS Research Scholarship

For students admitted to a full-time research postgraduate programme (MPhil/PhD by research) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a strong academic and research background. The scholarship supports research students with a monthly stipend and tuition; outstanding applicants may be considered for higher-value awards.

Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna)

ViCAS Fellowship at WU Vienna

Open to final-year PhD students and early-career researchers who earned (or will earn) a PhD in 2021 or later, with a research focus on experimental or behavioral economics. Applicants must be able to reside in Vienna for the full 12-month residency. Open to candidates of all nationalities, including EU and non-EU researchers.

HKUST Academic Admission Scholarship for International Qualifications

For international (non-local) applicants entering full-time undergraduate study at HKUST with international qualifications (e.g. IB, A-Levels, AP/SAT). Awards are merit-based and most applicants are considered automatically on admission, with the strongest offered partial or full scholarships.

Osaka University (funded by MEXT, Japanese Government)

Osaka University MEXT Scholarship for Robotics and Bioengineering

Open to non-Japanese citizens with a strong academic background in a relevant field such as robotics, bioengineering or mechanical science, who meet the MEXT programme conditions, present a focused research proposal, and obtain a supporting supervisor at Osaka University before applying.

Princeton University

Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) Fung Global Fellows Program 2027-2028

This fellowship is open to early-career scholars from around the world who are employed outside the United States. Applicants must hold a faculty appointment or a professional research appointment and are expected to return to their positions after the fellowship. Candidates must have received their Ph.D. generally after September 1, 2017, and demonstrate outstanding scholarly achievement and unusual intellectual promise.

University of Edinburgh Mastercard Foundation

Edinburgh Online Mastercard Scholarship

This scholarship is open to citizens and residents of Sub-Saharan African countries who are 35 years old or younger as of September 1, 2027. Applicants must meet the University of Edinburgh's academic admission requirements, typically holding the equivalent of at least a UK Second Class (Upper) Bachelor's degree. Candidates should have faced significant barriers to education and demonstrate a strong record of leadership, community service, and commitment to addressing climate challenges.

Wellcome Discovery Awards

Open to established researchers and research teams with a proven record of research delivery who are based at, or will be hosted by, an eligible not-for-profit organisation in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, or an eligible low- or middle-income country (excluding India and mainland China). Projects must propose bold, transformative research aligned with Wellcome's mission to improve health. The award does not cover the lead applicant's own salary, and a researcher may lead only one active Discovery Award submission.

Swiss Confederation (Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students FCS)

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships

Open to international graduates — primarily for PhD and postdoctoral research, with some arts master's — selected via the Swiss embassy in the applicant's home country. Requirements (age, degree recency, research fit) and country availability are set per country; a host professor/supervisor in Switzerland is usually required.

Fulbright Finland Foundation & University of Helsinki

Fulbright-University of Helsinki Graduate Award

Open to students from the United States, Finland and other countries who have been admitted to one of the University of Helsinki's two-year International Master's Degree Programs taught in English. Applicants must take part in the Fulbright Finland Foundation grant competition and separately apply for admission to the University of Helsinki, with final award selection made by the Fulbright Finland Foundation.

For non-local (international) students applying for full-time undergraduate study at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Awards are merit-based and most applicants are considered automatically through the admissions process; top candidates may receive partial or full scholarships covering tuition and, in some cases, living costs.

ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology)

ETH Zurich Excellence Scholarship and Opportunity Programme (ESOP)

For outstanding students applying for a master's degree at ETH Zurich, across departments. ESOP provides a study and living allowance plus a tuition-fee waiver; you apply for the scholarship at the same time as the master's application.

International Monetary Fund (IMF)

IMF Fund Internship Program (FIP)

Open to graduate students worldwide who are enrolled in (or within one year of completing) a Master's or PhD programme in economics, finance, or a closely related field. PhD applicants must be under 32 and Master's applicants under 28 at the start of the internship. Strong analytical skills and fluency in English are required; non-US nationals selected receive a G4 visa and F-1 holders must hold valid CPT work authorisation.

Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore

Singapore ASEAN Scholarships

For nationals of ASEAN member countries (other than Singapore) with a strong academic record who wish to study at the pre-university/undergraduate level in Singapore. Applicants apply through Singapore's Ministry of Education (MOE) or partner schools/universities during the annual application window.
