Lester B. Pearson International Student Scholarship

Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE), CAPES, and CNPq

Brazil PEC-PG Scholarship Programme

For citizens of developing countries that have educational or cultural cooperation agreements with Brazil, who hold the required degree and admission to a Brazilian graduate programme. Applicants apply through the Brazilian embassy/diplomatic mission in their home country and must commit to returning home after study.

Top students from a developing country admitted to an eligible master’s at the University of Groningen, with a strong academic record and no prior degree from a Dutch institution.

University of Hong Kong

HKU Presidential PhD Scholarship

This scholarship is open to outstanding researchers from around the world who are passionate about research and applying for full-time PhD study at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Applicants do not need to submit a separate application for this programme; all eligible candidates applying for full-time PhD programmes at HKU will be automatically considered. Strong academic records and research potential are essential.

HKUST Postgraduate Studentship

For students admitted to full-time research postgraduate programmes (MPhil/PhD) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Studentships support research students with a monthly stipend; strong applicants may also be nominated for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft)

Justus & Louise van Effen Excellence Scholarship

For exceptional non-EU/EEA students applying for an MSc programme at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) with an excellent academic record. The scholarship is merit-based and competitive; you apply for it after applying for admission to an eligible TU Delft master's, by the deadline (commonly 1 December).

President's PhD Scholarship

For exceptional students of any nationality applying for a full-time PhD at Imperial College London, who have (or expect) a top undergraduate/master's degree and strong research potential. You apply with or after securing a PhD place and a supervisor; selection is by the department and the scholarship scheme.

Two Fully Funded PhD Positions in Electric Energy Systems at SDSU

Applicants should possess a strong academic and technical background relevant to electrical and computer engineering, ideally with a master's degree in a related discipline. Strong programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink or Python are required, along with a solid background in areas such as electric power systems, power electronics, control, or signal processing. Ball State University International Scholarships

Open to international students seeking a bachelor's degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. For outstanding students of any nationality applying for full-time PhD study at Hong Kong's University Grants Committee-funded universities. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend and a travel allowance; applicants first make an initial application to the Research Grants Council, then a full PhD application to a chosen university.

Max Planck Schools

Max Planck Schools Graduate Scholarships

Open to talented international and domestic students of all nationalities who hold (or are about to complete) a master's degree, or an exceptional bachelor's degree, in a relevant scientific field. Applicants choose one of three graduate schools - Cognition, Matter to Life or Photonics - and may enter either a combined MSc and PhD track or a standalone PhD track depending on their academic background.

Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF)

McDonald Fellowships

Open to early-career researchers who are citizens of a low-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income country as defined by the World Bank, hold at least a postgraduate degree (MSc, preferably PhD or MD), and work in multiple sclerosis research. Applicants must secure a host supervisor at an institution outside their home country before applying. Women, indigenous researchers, and candidates from Small Island Developing States and Least Developed Countries are particularly encouraged.

American University (AU), Washington, D.C.

American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship

Open to international students of all nationalities applying to American University in Washington, D.C. for a bachelor's or eligible master's programme. Applicants must have a strong academic record, demonstrate clear leadership qualities, and intend to return to their home country to support underserved communities. They must not be US citizens, US permanent residents, or dual nationals with the US, and must not have already started studies in the US or their home country. Master's recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA in the first two semesters.

Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies / University of Iceland

Icelandic Government Scholarship in Icelandic Studies

Open to citizens of a defined list of eligible countries who have completed at least one year of university study in the humanities and have basic Icelandic proficiency (equivalent to Icelandic Online 1 and 2). English proficiency certification is required, as English is a secondary medium of instruction. Applicants under 35 years of age are prioritised. United States applicants must apply via the Fulbright Program only.

For students admitted to PhD programmes at the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Funded admission includes fellowship support; you apply for the PhD programme rather than a separate fellowship, and selection is by the department and GSAS.

Simmons University

Simmons University Kotzen Scholarship

Open to incoming first-year (freshman) students applying for the fall semester with a GPA of 3.3 or higher and a record of honors, AP or IB coursework. Non-native English speakers submit TOEFL and SAT or ACT scores. The award is need- and merit-based.

Open to doctoral candidates of any nationality admitted to a doctoral project at the University of Hamburg who graduated with above-average grades, ideally within the past year (in special cases up to three years), and who meet the faculty requirements; medicine (UKE) candidates may apply only if their main topic lies in another faculty.

Yale World Fellows Program

Open to mid-career professionals from outside the United States, typically ~5–20 years into careers in government, business, NGOs, journalism, the arts, the military, or social enterprise. It is a non-degree leadership program; a graduate degree is not required, but a record of significant accomplishment and leadership is.

Gates Cambridge Trust

Gates Cambridge Scholarships

Open to citizens of any country outside the United Kingdom applying for a full-time postgraduate degree (PhD, MSc/MLitt, or one-year master's) at the University of Cambridge. Selection weighs academic excellence, a strong fit with the chosen Cambridge course, a clear commitment to improving the lives of others, and leadership potential.

ifa CrossCulture Programme Fellowships

Open to professionals and volunteers of all nationalities working in civil society, community development or intercultural exchange, with a clear plan for how the fellowship will strengthen their organisation. No IELTS is required; working knowledge of English is expected.
