Business - Marketing

Centennial College's Business – Marketing program is designed to equip you with the skills to bridge the gap between an organization and its customers. You will begin by building a strong foundation in core business principles, including accounting, organizational behaviour, business software, customer service, and international business. This will prepare you for specialized marketing courses covering marketing theory, communications, advertising, promotion, account management, sales, and service. The program emphasizes a hands-on approach, incorporating case studies, guest lectures, presentations, projects, and computer simulations, all facilitated by experienced faculty. A blended delivery method is utilized, encouraging the use of online tools and Centennial's Bring Your Own Device program.

Business Administration – Marketing

The Business Administration – Marketing program equips you with the skills to manage the critical link between an organization and its customers. You will learn to leverage social media, customer insights, and business strategy to excel in the marketing field. This program offers a comprehensive business education alongside specialized marketing training. Key areas of marketing study include market research, advertising and promotion, digital marketing (e-marketing, direct marketing, CRM), and brand planning. Courses utilize case studies and industry-standard software like Tableau and Envision, complemented by lectures, assignments, and presentations to develop your decision-making and communication abilities. As a student in this program, you'll have opportunities to participate in marketing competitions at provincial and national levels. The program employs a blended learning approach, encouraging the use of online tools through Centennial's Bring Your Own Device initiative. Additionally, all students gain access to resources from the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA) by using their Centennial email for membership, which provides exclusive events, professional development, industry content, and networking opportunities. This program is also recognized by the CMA as an accelerated pathway to the Chartered Marketer (CM) designation.

Community and Justice Services

If you are interested in law, crime, and helping at-risk individuals and communities, the Community and Justice Services program is designed for you. Delivered by the School of Community Care and Public Safety, this program equips you with the expert knowledge and practical skills needed to work with diverse populations, including youth and adults who are at risk, incarcerated, or involved in rehabilitation programs. The curriculum focuses on prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation strategies, alongside practical communication, treatment approaches, group dynamics, program development, case management, and security skills. A significant component of the program includes over 400 hours of placement experience in various settings within the Greater Toronto Area, such as jails, group homes, community centers, courthouses, and schools. Please note that courses are delivered through a combination of in-class, online, and hybrid formats. A minimum grade of C (60%) is required to pass all courses, including those in General Education (GNED) and Communications (COMM).

Digital Marketing – Corporate Account Management (Capstone)

This capstone course is designed for students in the Digital Marketing – Corporate Account Management program, offering a work-integrated learning experience. It focuses on the digital marketing and sales sector, allowing students to deepen their understanding, improve leadership skills, and apply current industry practices to address actual sales challenges. Working with industry professionals and organizations, students will have the chance to collaborate in teams, potentially remotely, on specific company sales projects. This approach aims to ensure timely project completion, professional presentations, and the achievement of capstone project goals, while fostering personal, career, and entrepreneurial development.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) - General Arts and Science

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program is a ministry-approved certificate program designed to enhance your English language skills for success in college or university studies. This intensive, full-time program focuses on developing academic communication abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. You will engage in various learning activities, including communicative tasks, interactive exercises, group work, and presentations, within a supportive college environment. Access to resources like tutoring, the library, and counselling is also provided. The EAP program utilizes a hybrid delivery model. Each level consists of a 20-hour course divided into Core Integrated Skills (16 hours) and Specialized Skills (4 hours). The Core component includes in-person classes, synchronous Zoom sessions, and asynchronous activities. The Specialized Skills component also involves synchronous and asynchronous learning. An in-person lab class is included to build technological skills, support asynchronous work, and facilitate in-person evaluations. Upon completion of EAP, graduates can pursue direct pathways to college communication courses. The program is suitable for those looking to improve their English for academic purposes and not intended for absolute beginners or native English speakers.

English Language Learning (ELL)

Centennial College's English Language Learning (ELL) program is a full-time, multi-level program designed for international students seeking to improve their English language proficiency. This program aims to equip students with the necessary language skills to succeed in college, university, or future career paths in Canada. As of Winter 2027, the ELL program will transition to the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, offering a similar focus on building and enhancing language skills. The EAP program will continue to serve as an English as a Second Language (ESL) offering.

International Business Analytics and Insights

This program equips students with advanced analytical skills to interpret global data sets and derive actionable insights for business challenges. You will learn a practical framework for data analysis, model development, decision-making, and value creation, culminating in a significant final project. This is a higher-level diploma program designed to give you a competitive edge in the field of business analytics.

Marketing - Digital Engagement Strategy

This program focuses on developing a deep understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies. The curriculum is built around the National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities (NAPRA) Professional Competencies for Canadian Pharmacy Technicians at Entry to Practice. Upon graduation, you will be well-prepared to pursue the necessary examinations and registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists to practice as a registered pharmacy technician (RPhT) in Ontario. Practical Nursing

Practical Nursing (Flexible)

The Practical Nursing - Flexible program at Centennial College equips you with the in-depth knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary for today's complex healthcare environment. The curriculum is aligned with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Practice Standards and Guidelines, National Entry to Practice Competencies for Registered Practical Nurses, and the Ontario Practical Nursing Program Standard. This program prepares you to provide safe, competent, and ethical care to a diverse patient population, utilizing resources and technology effectively. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to apply for registration as Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario.

Truck and Coach Technician – Volvo/Mack

The Truck and Coach Technician – Volvo/Mack program prepares you for a career in heavy truck maintenance and repair. This certificate program includes 32 weeks of in-class training and two two-week work placements, providing a comprehensive understanding of heavy truck technology. Emphasis is placed on fundamentals such as engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, gear trains, brakes, steering, and suspension systems, along with workplace practices. The curriculum focuses on electronic diagnostics and concludes with computer management systems. Upon successful completion with a 75% grade average, you will have the opportunity to complete a job interview at a hiring Mack/Volvo dealership or fleet operation for on-the-job apprenticeship training.

Truck and Coach Technician ATS

This certificate program provides a combination of in-depth theory and hands-on lab practice focused on the latest truck and coach technology. The program is structured to include both classroom training and a work placement component. You will gain practical experience working on a variety of truck and coach manufacturers' vehicles and system components. Upon completion, you will be eligible to write your provincial certificate of qualification exam.

Workplace Wellness and Health Promotion

This graduate certificate program, one of the first of its kind in Canada, prepares you to promote the overall well-being of individuals and groups in corporate and community settings. You will gain essential program management and communication skills to effectively lead wellness initiatives. The curriculum focuses on developing expertise in wellness coaching, designing, implementing, and evaluating health promotion strategies, and managing programs according to best practices. Key learning areas include assessing health risks, creating health and wellness plans for individual and organizational benefit, and utilizing various techniques to develop business cases for new wellness programs. Graduates will be equipped to bring a holistic, inclusive, and interprofessional approach to the field of workplace wellness and health promotion.
